I wanted to write a blog about my business so people can understand what it is that makes me tick. It's easy to say I'm a Virtual EA or Virtual Assistant but that just doesn't explain what I do.
There are VAs who specialise in social media or bookkeeping or marketing. There are VAs who specialise in supporting business with general admin, lead generation or customer support.
For me, there are 3 main areas that I focus on in EA World:
EA and Business Support I am a career EA and have over 25 years experience in managing executives, supporting business and everything that goes with it. The chaos of managing complex schedules, the uncertainty of travel arrangements, developing and implementing processes, procedures and supporting all areas of the operations. The administration headaches that most people hate doing such as expenses, invoicing, report coordination and even data entry.
Event Management Managing corporate events has always been a passion of mine. From the small regular offsite meetings and workshops right through to the gala dinners, expos, award nights and large conferences. I love it all! I have won multiple awards for corporate events and look forward to each new event that I plan. No matter the size of the event, you can be certain that I will make you look good, it will be a success and you will be happy with the results!
EA Life I have been an advocate of the EA industry for many years and have mentored EAs, spoken at conferences and expos as well as do what I can to share my knowledge and collaborate with other EAs and VAs in business. I have just started my own EA chat room called "EA Talk" where we can go to share ideas, vent, ask for advice, share content and give back to each other. We all need a support network and not all EAs have this support easily accessible. I look forward to seeing how EA Life will evolve in the future...watch this space!
I decided a long time ago that I would change the way I work to suit my lifestyle and so that is how EA World began.
I wanted (as most people do) a good life / work balance.
To be able to work from my home office and be close to my daughter when she needs my support with schooling and the flexibility to work how I want and when I want to is so important to me.
I work best when I am happy and relaxed - don't we all?
